Encouragement Through Studying God’s Word
I would like to begin this section by looking at Hebrews 11 and the Topic of Faith. Throughout the book of Hebrews, the author addresses faith. In chapter 11, the author gives examples of believers exercising their faith and what that looked like. The conclusion, after seeing all these witnesses to faith, is that, according to Hebrews 12:2, we “fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith.” In this section, I hope to begin by reviewing Hebrews 1-10 to examine the context that leads to Hebrews 11:1, where it defines faith.
In this section, we will:
- Grow through seeing examples of living by faith in the scripture
- See the centrality of God as Creator as we look at faith
- Apply biblical principles to daily life
We come to God’s word as we look at living by faith, needing His guidance and strength, and trusting Him to give us His wisdom.
