To encourage one another, “each of us by the other’s faith.” As I have meditated on Romans 1 along with Hebrews 11, Romans 1:11 and 12 have stood out. “For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established; that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.” The questions these verses raise for me, especially related to faith, are: how can I encourage others with my faith, and how can I let them encourage me with theirs? What can I say or ask to prompt this with my brothers and sisters in Christ?
